I HAVE NOT EXPERIENCE ANY PROBLEMS WITH THIS PRODUCT NOR HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH THE PURCHASING PROCESS. I ONLY HAD IT FOR A FEW WEEKS, BUT WOULD RECOMMEND.
Very light and very bright equals an excellent flashlight. The four star rating is only because I've had it for a relatively short period of time.
The price I got was less than half of avarage price i found on the web sites suggested by makita and it came in less than 48 hours for the standard shippipg rate. The price on the light in my review says $40 but I only paid $29 and like 6 bucks shipping. This light works as well as it should (you turn it on it lights up) It has a very powerfull beam I'm not sure of the candle power but it's got to be around a million or more. I was extremely impressed with the speed in which it was delevered and the price was un believable.
Free standing with the battery attached. The power button is a rubber-shrouded thumb-high push-button on the back.I bought the drill separately (came with 2 batteries), but if you can get the two together, go for it. Light weight, well balanced, and puts out a lot of light. The head locks in 3 positions: Hor., 45, & Vert.
It's worth having matching equipment with a single charger / battery setup than multiple tools and chargers to tote around. I've used similar products from Dewalt, Ryobi, older 9V Makita, and none are perfect. I was actually expecting something more from Makita with the product as it's not the brightest either. I've recently switched from all Dewalt tools to Makita 18V LXT and I'm happy overall. It's bigger than I expected, build quality not a nice as the current 18V LXT drills, but hey.it's a flashlight. When the battery gets low, it just shuts off instead of normal, lights fading to dim. Just don't expect to much and you'll really like this light.
